Glostrup Kommune
We are thrilled to announce our recent collaboration with Glostrup Kommune, where we had the opportunity to contribute to their event at Glostrup Bibliotek in Copenhagen by creating more sustainable outdoor seating solutions. This partnership underscores our commitment to innovation and sustainability in public spaces.
The Challenge
The kommune was hosting an event at the library and needed outdoor seating that was practical and easy to deal with. Normal seating setups often take a lot of time and effort to put up, and they can leave a pile of material behind afterwards. That didn’t fit an event that was about community, so they wanted something practical and more eco-friendly.
Our Solution
To address this challenge, mellow designs introduced the mellow joint system, a revolutionary approach that transformed Euro Pallets into versatile and efficient temporary structures. This innovative system not only streamlined the setup process but also allowed for easy dismantling, significantly reducing the time and effort typically associated with temporary seating arrangements.
Key benefits of the mellow joint system include:
- Sustainability: By upcycling Euro Pallets, we minimized waste and promoted more eco-friendly practices. This approach aligns perfectly with the values of Glostrup Kommune and their commitment to sustainable community events.
- Efficiency: The mellow joint system is designed for quick assembly and disassembly, making it an ideal solution for temporary installations. This efficiency ensures that event organizers can focus on delivering a great experience rather than dealing with complex logistics.
- Versatility: Our system offers flexible configurations, allowing the seating to be adapted to various layouts and event requirements. This versatility ensures that the seating can meet the diverse needs of different events and audiences.
Through our collaboration with Glostrup Kommune, we demonstrated how innovative design and sustainability can go hand in hand to create practical solutions for public spaces. The success of this project at Glostrup Bibliotek not only enhanced the event experience but also set a benchmark for future sustainable initiatives.
We look forward to continuing our work with forward-thinking partners like Glostrup Kommune to bring more sustainable and innovative solutions to communities across Copenhagen and beyond.
